ADULT SWIM LESSONS
Have you always wished you could swim? Training for an event? Do you think you could use a refresher course? Then join us for adult swim lessons-- we can help you. All levels of instruction offered and will be determined the first night of class. Beginners to advanced swimmers welcome! Private lessons are available too-- great for adults who need a flexible schedule, or who want to achieve specific goals.
Enjoy the therapeutic benefits of our warm water pool and improve your social and physical wellness. The YMCA of the USA and American Arthritis Foundation joined together to create this low impact water recreational exercise program for people with arthritis. It is not necessary to know how to swim.
Through the natural resistance of water, Aqua-x strengthens and tones muscles, reduces muscle soreness, enhances circulation, and promotes flexibility. It's an energetic, high-intensity water fitness class. Class is designed for all swim levels to target all of the muscles. Participants must be a minimum of 16 years of age. Drop-in is available.
Known as the Zumba "pool party", Aqua Zumba gives new meaning to the idea of an invigorating workout. Splashing, stretching, twisting, even shouting, laughing, hooting and hollering are often heard during an Aqua Zumba class. Integrating the Zumba formula and philosophy with traditional aqua fitness disciplines, Aqua Zumba blends it all together into a safe, challenging, water-based workout that's cardio-conditioning, body-toning, and most of all exhilarating beyond belief. Drop-in is available.
Push yourself to your limits in this advanced intensive level class. This drill-style class is set up in an interval format. It's a functional training class which emphasizes agility, balance, speed, strength, and endurance.
Bridal Bootcamp provides you and your wedding party specifically tailored workouts that get you the results you are looking for, for your big day! Let us help you look your best in your gown with our targeted fitness program. We offer two packages sure to fit in your wedding budget. Upgrade to our deluxe package which includes: FREE fitness assessment ($50 value), consultation and goal setting meetings, dietary reviews, and an extensive nutritional program. Minimum of 3 to register.
Combine fun and fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power with a standing circuit workout. Upper body strength work using hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball is alternated with non-impact aerobic choreography. A chair is offered for support, head to toe stretching, and complete relaxation in a comfortable position.
"I don't wanna work-- just want to bang on the drums all day!" Using a Fitball elevated on a bucket and an actual pair of drumsticks, lay down your own beat while bustin' a move to some powerful music. It's a great full body workout that can be low or high impact! It's fat burning FUN! No rhythm required. Just a willingness to let your inner rock star out!

Settle in for the ride of your life! You choose your own workout level in this popular non-impact indoor cycling class. The Schwinn™ Fitness Bikes allow a cardiovascular workout that's easy on the feet and knees while allowing a high intensity of exercise. Once a week won't be enough! Add a mix days/times to fit your schedule! Daily drop-in available, based on equipment availability.
EASY DOES IT
For adults, in addition to the structured lessons, we also offer pool time set aside for you to come "do it yourself". This self-instructed class is also a time for you to come build lasting friendships and socialize while working in the water. It's designed for seniors, those recovering from surgery, and those seeking self-led water exercises to improve range of motion and strength without impact on the joints. Come enjoy the benefits of water-walking, aqua-jogging or just making new friends. Space is available in the deep end. Join the afternoon crowd for an informal water volleyball game in the shallow end!
FITNESS CENTER ORIENTATION
Strongly recommended for all new members, anyone new to strength and cardiovascular training, and youth 16 years old who with to use the fitness center. We will teach you the ways to get the most benefit from your workouts. By appointment only.
GROUP PERSONAL TRAINING
Grab a friend or even two; share a workout and save some money! Sessions include a FREE fitness assessment ($50 value). Maximum of three members. Sessions are one hour each.
INJURY RECOVERY / POST REHAB PERSONAL TRAINING
We can help you get back towards pre-injury conditions by picking up where your rehab left off. One-on-one training to guide you towards exercise and/or nutrition changes you need to continue your recovery. Our trainers have extended certification addressing special circumstances. A doctor's release to activity is required BEFORE any training sessions can begin. Sessions include a FREE fitness assessment ($50 value).
A different class each and every time! A variety of cardiostyles including boot camp and cardio sculpt. A surprisingly high intensity workout to start your weekend right!
Based on the traditional Okinawa martial art of Ryukyu Kempo Karate, an instructor will take the student from kicking, punching, and defending to the higher level of Kyusho-jutsu, a high fighting method based on acupressure. Head instructor Lynn Carper is a 7th degree black belt with over 30 years experience in the martial arts. Ryukyu Kempo offers a balance of aerobics, strengthening, flexibility, and coordination to improve physical fitness. Participants will have fun interacting with others having the same interests, while practice raises the discipline and lifts the human spirit.
There's nothing like a massage to relax and rejuvenate you! It's great therapy for both mind and body. Licensed massotherapist, Lori Price, offers days and some evenings for a relaxing massage. Treat someone you love to a great relaxation experience-- gift certificates available! By appointment only. Offered in 30-minute or 60-minute sessions. Member and Non-Member rates available.
MUSCULAR STRENGTH & RANGE OF MOVEMENT CLASS®
Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support.
Personal training is a great option for any level of exerciser. Our trainers can develop plans for those who are new to exercise or those looking for new or different goals and command results. Take your workouts to the next level. Our Personal Trainers will help any Y members achieve their fitness goals! All training sessions include a FREE fitness assessment ($50 value) that includes initial fitness test and goal setting meetings.
This class is a core training class which improves strength, balance, and flexibility of the muscles that control the trunk and spine. Energize your day with Pilates movement and breathing exercises that will develop a strong mind and body connection.
Activate your aqua exercise urge for variety! SilverSplash® offers LOTS of fun and shallow water moves to improve agility, flexibility, and cardiovascular endurance. No swimming ability is required, and a special SilverSneakers® kick board is used to develop strength, balance, and coordination.
Make friends and meet new people! Swimnastics is a basic level water exercise class that uses thenatural buoyancy and resistance of water and equipment to work towards improving participant flexibility, muscular strength, and cardiovascular endurance.
You'll work the major muscle groups of your upper body and lower body during this total body workout-- plus enjoy abdominal work to stabilize and strengthen the core muscle group. The instructor will lead the class in a variety of exercises using resistance equipment, body weight, stability balls, free weights and more to keep participants engaged and challenged.
Improve your general fitness and get into shape fast while building your confidence with Y PUMP barbell class that will sculpt, tone and strengthen your entire body! Y PUMP is resistance workout training fucused on low weight loads and high repetition movements. Y PUMP will help you burn fat, gain strength, and quickly produce lean body muscle conditioning. Burn up to 800 calories in one hour; you'll love the burn so much, one day a week won't be enough!
Y WALKING CLUB
This special program is available for non-members who just want to use our 9-lap mile indoor track. Lockers are available near the track, but you must provide your own lock. Walk in clean, dry shoes anytime the Y is open!
DYNAMIC (HATHA) YOGA
Free your spirit, calm your mind, and stretch your body through a variety of styles. Practice motions to increase your strength, balance and flexibility, while focusing on form, breathing and serenity within yourself. Lengthen, strengthen, and relaxation are the 3 elements of this dynamic yoga program. Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced poses are demonstrated with our certified and insured instructors.
YogaStretch® will move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of postures designed to increase flexibility, balance, and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity.
YOUTH PERSONAL TRAINING
Youth Personal Training is formulated for ages 10 - 17 years old to help improve their general fitness. Youth will learn age-appropriate and sport-specific skills to help achieve their goals. Sessions include a FREE fitness assessment ($40 value). Parents are required to be present during the assessment.
Have fun and join the party that is sweeping the nation! Zumba® is a Latin-inspired dance fitness class designed for everyone- any age, background or fitness level. No dance background required. Zumba® is fitness in disguise. This class uses Latin & International music to give the class a party feel! Drop-in available.
Zumba Gold® targets the largest growing segment of the population: baby boomers. It takes the Zumba formula and modifies the moves and pacing to suit the needs of the active older participant, as well as those just starting their journey to a fit and healthy lifestyle. What stays the same are all the elements the Zumba Fitness Party is known for: the zesty Latin music like salsa, merengue, cumbia and reggaeton; the exhilarating, easy-to-follow moves; and the invigorating, party-like atmosphere. Active older adults want camaraderie, excitement and fitness as a regular part of their weekly schedule. Zumba Gold® is the perfect fit.
