ADULT SWIM LESSONS
Have you always wished you could swim?  Training for an event?  Do you think you could use a refresher course?  Then join us for adult swim lessons-- we can help you.  All levels of instruction offered and will be determined the first night of class.  Beginners to advanced swimmers welcome!  Private lessons are available too-- great for adults who need a flexible schedule, or who want to achieve specific goals.

 

ARTHRITIS
Enjoy the therapeutic benefits of our warm water pool and improve your social and physical wellness.  The YMCA of the USA and American Arthritis Foundation joined together to create this low impact water recreational exercise program for people with arthritis.  It is not necessary to know how to swim.

 

AQUA-X
Through the natural resistance of water, Aqua-x strengthens and tones muscles, reduces muscle soreness, enhances circulation, and promotes flexibility.  It's an energetic, high-intensity water fitness class.  Class is designed for all swim levels to target all of the muscles.  Participants must be a minimum of 16 years of age.  Drop-in is available.

 

AQUA YOGA
Aqua Yoga is a gentle and very low-impact aquatic class.  It takes the principles and movements of traditional yoga and adapts them to the calming water environment.  This class is ideal for people with joint pain to improve strength, flexibility, and range of motion.

BARRE FABULOUS FITNESS 
Ballet Barre Fabulous Fitness will be your new best friend!  One of today's hottest fitness trends, ballet barre workouts are designed to give participants a long, lean, dancer-like physique.  Most exercises are done at a ballet bar (or back of chair) and combine elements of Ballet, Pilates, and Yoga.  Using bodyweight for resistance, the moves will challenge your core stability and balance.  Small toning balls, light hand weights and bands may be used for added resistance.  Toe socks are recommended.

 

BODY BLAST
Start your morning off with this quick 45-minute class that is guaranteed to wake you up faster than that first cup of coffee!  This class provides well-rounded workouts designed to shape and strengthen the muscles by incorporating weight lifting and body resistance-type exercises.

 

 

BOOT CAMP
Push yourself to your limits in this advanced intensive level class.  This drill-style class is set up in an interval format.  It's a functional training class which emphasizes agility, balance, speed, strength, and endurance.

 

CARDIO®
Combine fun and fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power with a standing circuit workout.  Upper body strength work using hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball is alternated with non-impact aerobic choreography.  A chair is offered for support, head to toe stretching, and complete relaxation in a comfortable position.

 

CARDIO DRUMS
Using a Fitball elevated on a bucket and an actual pair of drumsticks, lay down your own beat while bustin' a move to some powerful music.  It's a great full body workout that can be low or high impact!  It's fat burning FUN!  No rhythm required.  Just a willingness to let your inner rock star out!

 

CARDIO STEP
Improve your cardio power with our STEP class.  This intense, low-impact cardio class will also include some upper body resistance exercises to get a whole-body workout. You'll be the beneficiary of increased aerobic capacity, improved weight management, better balance and a stronger core.  Our cardio step class will help you burn calories and fat.  It will also help reduce stress, promote restful sleep, strengthen muscles and give the whole body a more streamline look.

 

CLASSIC®
Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills.  Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support.

CYCLING
Settle in for the ride of your life!  You choose your own workout level in this popular non-impact indoor cycling class.  Our LeMond REVMASTER SPORT Bikes allow a cardiovascular workout that's easy on the feet and knees while allowing a high intensity of exercise.  Keep track of your heart rate and calories burnt during your workout by easily syncing your personal heart rate monitor with the on-bike apparatus.  Once a week won't be enough!  Add a mix days/times to fit your schedule!  Daily drop-in available, based on equipment availability.



 

EASY DOES IT
For adults, in addition to the structured lessons, we also offer pool time set aside for you to come "do it yourself".  This self-instructed class is also a time for you to come build lasting friendships and socialize while working in the water.  It's designed for seniors, those recovering from surgery, and those seeking self-led water exercises to improve range of motion and strength without impact on the joints.  Come enjoy the benefits of water-walking, aqua-jogging or just making new friends.  Space is available in the deep end.  Join the afternoon crowd for an informal water volleyball game in the shallow end!

 

FITNESS CENTER ORIENTATION
Strongly recommended for all new members, anyone new to strength and cardiovascular training, and youth 16 years old who wish to use the fitness center.  We will teach you the ways to get the most benefit from your workouts.  By appointment only.

 

GOLDEN ACHIEVERS ORIENTATION
For members 62+ to gain knowledge, ask questions and become familiar with our fitness center.  Strength training is one of the best ways to increase bone density and flexibility; to improve your quality of life.  Recommended to members new to strength and cardiovascular training wishing to use the fitness center.  Let us show you ways to get the most benefit from your workouts.

 

HIIT (HIGH INTENSITY INTERVAL TRAINING)
Get shredded by burning fat and building muscle with this full-body workout that utilizes high intensity interval training.  Small bursts of all out exercises are coupled with short recovery periods to fast-track your way to good health and beautiful, strong body.  The magic of HIIT lies in its ability to keep you burning fat even after you leave the gym.

MARTIAL ARTS
Martial arts is a system of learning how to use your body efficiently with the main purpose for self-defense.  The Ryukyu Kempo was developed over centuries of time on the island of Okinawa.  The practice of karate develops speed, balance, strength, and coordination.  As you advance, self-defense techniques are added for your personal protection.  The more advanced is based on Kyusho-jutsu, a system of fighting passed on acupressure.

 

MASSAGE THERAPY
There's nothing like a massage to relax and rejuvenate you!  It's great therapy for both mind and body.  Licensed massotherapists, Lori Price and Vicki Collins, offer day and evening appointments for a relaxing massage.  Treat someone you love to a great relaxation experience-- gift certificates available!  By appointment only.  Offered in 30-minute or 60-minute sessions.  Member and Non-Member rates available.

 

PERSONAL TRAINING
Personal training is a great option for any level of exerciser.  Our trainers can develop plans for those who are looking to begin a fitness and/or lifestyle change or for those looking towards advancement in their personal regimen.  If you have never stepped foot in a gym before and looking for guidance, working towards completing your first 5K or advance your personal record in your next triathlon, our trainer will adjust for any goals you would like to set.  No goal is too big or too small.  They focus on helping you achieve your personal goals.  You set the days and times that work best for you!

PICKLEBALL
Join our group as they introduce this exciting game to our Y!  The United States of America Pickleball Association (USAPA) explains that pickleball is a fun sport that combines many elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong.  Come play on our indoor courts!  No equipment is required to begin; we have some you can use!

 

PiYo LIVE® - NOT OFFERED AT THIS TIME - 
PiYo Live is a music-driven, athletic workout inspired by the mind/body practices of Pilates and Yoga that also includes flexibility and strength training, conditioning and dynamic movement.  It includes modifications for the group exercise environment yet offers exercise progressions for all levels.  PiYo Live provides improved flexibility, strength, balance, stress reduction and overall fitness level improvement.



 

SCULPTING WITH WEIGHTS
This non-aerobic class brings weight training and body sculpting to the studio in a group format.  Barbells plus hand weights are used for split sets, pyramid sets and more.  Weight training helps shape and strengthen muscles.

 

SPLASH®
Activate your aqua exercise urge for variety!  SilverSplash® offers LOTS of fun and shallow water moves to improve agility, flexibility, and cardiovascular endurance.  No swimming ability is required, and a special SilverSneakers® kick board is used to develop strength, balance, and coordination.

 

SUSPENSION TRAINING - TRX
TRX Suspension training is the original, best-in-class workout system that leverages gravity and your body weight to perform hundreds of exercises that build power and increase strength, flexibility, balance and mobility.  You're in control of how much you want to challenge yourself on each exercise - because you can adjust your body position to add or decrease resistance.

 

SWIMNASTICS
Make friends and meet new people!  Swimnastics is a basic level water exercise class that uses the natural buoyancy and resistance of water and equipment to work towards improving participant flexibility, muscular strength, and cardiovascular endurance.

 

ADULT TENNIS LESSONS
One-on-one 45-minute tennis lessons for any ages.  Lesson focus will help develop basic ground strokes, serving, overheads, and volleys.  Whether it's your first time experiencing tennis or you're a seasoned player, your lesson will be catered to your needs.

 

TOTAL TONE
You'll work the major muscle groups of your upper body and lower body during this total body workout, as well as enjoy abdominal work to stabilize and strengthen the core muscle group.  The instructor will lead the class in a variety of exercises using resistance equipment, body weight, stability balls, free weights and more to keep participants engaged and challenged.

 

TRIPLE THREAT
This 45-minute class fusing Cardio, Strength, and Core training through a variety of low-impact, high-intensity exercises.  Motivated by a variety of fun, energetic music, this total-body workout will have you sweating and burning.



 

Y WALKING CLUB
This special program is available for non-members who just want to use our 9-lap mile indoor track.  Lockers are available near the track, but you must provide your own lock.  Walk in clean, dry shoes anytime the Y is open!

 

YOGA®
YogaStretch® will move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses.  Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of postures designed to increase flexibility, balance, and range of movement.  Restorative breathing exercises and final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity.

 

YOGA CLASSES

YOGA
Free your spirit, calm your mind, and stretch your body as you unwind for the evening with this 60-minute yoga class.  The class will move through different, various sequences such as sun salutations to help strengthen the body and the mind as a whole.

POWER YOGA
This 60-minute yoga class will build your strength, flexibility, and concentration.  You can expect a great cardiovascular and strength-building workout mixed with focus breath work.  This class will also focus on pelvic awareness and alighment.

MORNING FLOW
Rise before you grind.  This 45-minute yoga class will give you that refreshed stretch and invigorating energy boost to get your day started off full of positive energy.  You will see improvement in stability, strength, flexibility, as well as concentration both on and off the yoga mat.

MINDFUL VINYASA
A jump start to begin the day, this morning flow class promotes strength and flexibility to help the body release in a restroative way.  This flowing-style yoga class is slower paced to focus on classic postures and correct alignment in the body.  Practice with a renewed sense of focus and commitment.  Centered in stillness, you will leave feeling relaxed and ready to start your day.

AQUA YOGA

WALKING CLUB
This special program is available for members and non-members to keep track of their personal accomplishments walking on our track.  Cards are available at the desk for patrons to self-record their milage.  Club members receive an EXCLUSIVE Walking Club shirt when they reach 100, 500, and 1000 miles!

 

WATER VOLLEYBALL
Come join in the camaraderie of an informal and fun game of water volleyball!  Stay agile, laugh and make friends all while enjoying the atmosphere of our indoor heated pool.  No skill level required, just willingness to have a good time!

 

 

ZUMBA
Working out doesn't have to feel like owrk!  ZUMBA(r) is a fusion of Latin nad International music/dance themes that create an exciting and dynamic class.  The routines combine fast and slow rhythms that naturally tone and sculpt the body.  ZUMBA is a "feel-happy" workout that is great for both the body and the mind.
